Our classic soy paraffin wax candle mix is natural in colour, scented with one of our most loved fragrances, Champagne & Roses in a stylish tin with a wood-like finish lid that you can reuse after the candle has burned down to melt your own wax or keep as a useful container for trinkets or as a decorative piece. Our 90g round candle lasts 12-15 hours, available in black, white and rose gold. The 45g silver heart candle lasts 6-9 hours. Made from by product petroleum that really helps to keep the scent strongly diffused around it, mixed with soy for slower and more even burn. Candles burn faster if the wind blows on them. Should you want an essential oil candle, let us know the oil blend you would like and we will make it up for you in your unique blend.

WARNING: To prevent fire and serious injury, burn the candle within sight. Keep away from children, animals, wind, drafts, vibrations and anything flammable. Make sure there is nothing above the candle. Tins become hot to the touch when lit, so do not touch it until the wax is cool and hard again. Burn on a surface that is heat resistant and level where it can't be easily knocked by accident. Seek medical assistance should you accidentally burn yourself or others. Should you want your candle to burn evenly instead of it making a tunnel down the center, allow the candle to burn to liquid all the way to the sides before extinguishing the flame. If you blow it out with a small circle around the wick, it will keep burning a tunnel through the middle. Melting all the way to the sides will ensure the liquid burns evenly.
OUR METHOD: We use a blend of both waxes because soy helps it to burn longer and paraffin hold the fragrance for longer and throws it further into the room. When soy wax is blended with paraffin, the result is a candle that combines the structure and stability of paraffin with the smooth burn and plant origins of soy, creating a balanced candle that burns evenly while maintaining strong scent, longevity and durability.

Soy wax is a modern plant-based material derived from the humble soybean, a crop first cultivated thousands of years ago in East Asia, particularly in regions of China and later Japan and Korea. For centuries soybeans were valued for their nourishment and versatility, used in foods such as tofu, miso, and soy sauce, and later cultivated globally as an important agricultural crop. The use of soybeans for wax, however, is relatively recent. Soy wax was developed in the 1990s in the United States as a natural alternative to petroleum-based candle waxes. Researchers discovered that the oil pressed from soybeans could be hydrogenated into a soft, creamy wax that burns slowly and evenly and is considered a renewable resource. Today soy wax represents the meeting of ancient agriculture and modern innovation, turning a traditional crop into a gentle source of light. Soybeans are harvested from the plant, cleaned, cracked, and pressed to extract their natural oil. This oil is then hydrogenated (a process that stabilises the oil) which turns the liquid oil into a solid wax suitable for candle making, which burns slower with creamy texture and less soot compared to some other waxes, melting more gently and evenly.
Derived from purified petroleum byproducts (not the “dirty crude” kind), it is one of the cleanest, most inert substances on earth and was first discovered in 1830s Germany during experiments in fuel purification. Even though it’s "modern", the function of paraffin connects deeply to ancient practices: In ancient Egypt, priests burned sacred oils, resins, and temple lights to create protective atmospheres during ceremony. In Greece and Rome, steady flame lamps and wax lights were used in healing spaces, temples, and homes to bring warmth, illumination, and calm. Indigenous healers across Africa used controlled fire and warm light during night rituals for protection, guidance, and spiritual sealing after healing work. The Onsen Culture of Ancient Japan used mineral rich hot baths for circulation and softening, while lantern light and gentle flame were traditionally used to create stillness, reflection, and restoration in the quiet of evening. Paraffin carries the lineage of: Warmth, protection, soft illumination, and the holding of sacred space after healing work, making it the modern descendant of ancient “soft shields.” Tap here to take a look at our paraffin wax treatment balm.
