  1. Earth was born 4.5bil years ago. The Universe is about 13.7bil years old. ​We know more about space than we do about what's under our oceans. We know about 4% of the Universe, 10% of our Oceans and about 20% of our solar system. We are all still learning!
  2. Earth is fifth largest planet in our solar system, but the largest terrestrial planet, made up of water, hard rocks and metals.​
  3. Earth is 149.6ml km from the Sun which means it takes 8 minutes and 19 seconds for sunlight to reach us.

  5. The Earth is tilted 23.4 degrees on its “axis” from being involved in a cosmic explosion of collision of debris, which is now an imaginary straight line through the middle of the planet. This gave us our seasons because Earth had one climate before collision and it has been trying to get back there, which is why we are experiencing mostly Summer and Winter instead of four equal seasons.
