NAMASTE
Wikipedia translation: Namasté is a South-Asian greeting originating in India, which is used when both hello and goodbye would be used in English. The meaning is quite different however. The Sanskrit nama means "bow, obeisance, reverential salutation, adoration". te is the dative of the personal pronoun, "you". Combined it's a literal translation of "reverential salutation to you." It is commonly accompanied by a slight bow made with the hands pressed together, palms touching, in front of the chest. In a religious context this word can be taken to mean any of these: *The Spirit in me meets the same Spirit in you. *I greet that place where you and I are one. *I salute the light of God in you. *I bow to the divine in you. *My higher energy salutes your higher energy. In other words, it recognises the equality of all, and pays honour to the sacredness and interconnection of all. See more images of Namaste |
The Queen and the Bees in our Hive
Bees symbolise wealth, good luck, harmony, creativity and bliss. Bees are also symbolic of hard work and industry with sweet rewards as represented by the common phrase "busy as a bee." It is also a sign of buzzing activity and is well known for the Queen Bee, being of a feminine nature. We refer to our clients as the Queen Bee and we are all the bees working to make her feel on top of her game. We loved using the symbology of bees because they are essential for life and the eco-system, they network in an amazing fashion, they are tiny little power houses that turn hard work into honey, the way they work as a team for a common goal, because their hierarchy is about a woman... and we here at Namaste, LOVE our flients, who are ALL the Queen Bee when they are with us. We could literally go on for a while why we chose Bees, but really, the Bee chose us and we are so happy it did because since it buzzed into our lives, the cabin really has just gotten so much sweeter. Thank you to the wonderful Bees, Mother Nature and all our fabulous flients out there, who make our little buzz team buzz the way it does! #DeepGratitude * Read more about the Bee here |
How we Evolved
We were supposed to be in British Columbia living a sustainable earth experience on the beach, however the 2020 lockdown changed our paths forever and rerouted us back into South Africa to begin again. Cat had always dreamed of living on the Pacific Ocean and she didn't want to wait any longer, so she revived her business with a fresh new look and perspective and used all her brain programming methods to shift the Namaste space into a Beach House vibe. Even though it's in Jo'Burg with no ocean or beach for hundreds of miles, the point was when you can't be with the place you love, how do you make your place like the one you love? You decorate and imaginate! That is definitely a word. So she included her posse, the Wolf and the Shaman and designed her logo round like the moon and planets to include all the things that Namaste has given life to and will most likely evolve some more.
