The Bee Hotel
Bees are the Namaste Mascot and so naturally they are super special to us and we do what we can to educate about these life giving, misunderstood creatures. Solitary bees make up over 90% of all bee species in the world, and they are under threat and could really use our help. Click this link to watch some incredible videos from one of our favourite Bee Keepers - Texas BeeWorks, who in my opinion is the coolest, cutest BeeKeeper on Earth. Beekeepers live longer than everyone else because Bees are just that freaking amazing, literally everything they do (besides sting) produces healing results from their hz buzz to their life giving honey, to the anti viral homes they line their homes with, to their essential pollination abilities, to their absolute dedication to selflessly serving everything on earth. We CAN HELP them and if we can't or don't want to, then at the very least, PLEASE don't hurt them, Our futures depend largely on these little guys and they are disappearing devastatingly fast. We really need one another. |

In 2019 I participated in a donation birthday challenge on Facebook to raise funds for The Ocean Cleanup. So much gratitude towards everyone who gave me such a wonderful gift for my birthday. Together my loved ones raised R2,200, which is such a wonderful gift for a birthday. I have everything and everyone I need and want and blessed to heal from my trauma. The Earth means something to me, so it's really such an honour to give a little back and try heal her from the trauma we've caused by existing... I want to experience many more wonderful birthdays on this special planet, so deep gratitude for assisting me in cleaning our home... BIG thank you to The Ocean Cleanup and others like them who are doing what the average person cannot.

![]() Hope is in need of anything an abused person may need from beginning of rescue right through to rehabilitation and starting over. This is anything from body care products, clothes, bedding, devices, money, food, vouchers, house hold items, whatever it is that is lying around your home not being used, please consider donating to Hope... If they don't use it themselves, they donate to their affiliate safe houses and schools. They can use all the usable goods you've got to spare to help them #EndSlavery.
Hope Risen (formerly known as Hope For Women) was founded in 2009 with the vision to spread love, hope and justice in the quest to end modern day slavery and exploitation. We are doing this through prevention and awareness initiatives carried out alongside direct interventions to rescue, restore and reintegrate women, men and children who have been exploited. "This year, we decided to implement a new and groundbreaking approach to environmental management, giving special attention and focus to plastic waste. It was decided that, moving forward, all Owl Rescue Centre NPC conservation products, including Owl Houses, Bat Houses and Bee Hives will be manufactured from recycled plastic instead of wood. This project will extend to an ocean clean-up mission and the acquisition of a sea-going vessel is on the agenda. We aim to recycle six-hundred tons of plastic per year, making this a feasible environmental project.
In our research we found that plastic waste affects all the world’s oceans and very little effort is currently applied to this matter in South Africa. With a believed 8.8 million metric tons of plastic waste that are dumped in oceans each year, widespread harm is caused to the marine environment. The use of plastic has increased in recent years and continue to do so. This means that human-consumer influence on the environment has become a major concern as many types of plastics do not biodegrade. Floating plastic within the ocean poses a serious threat to fish, seabirds, marine reptiles, and marine mammals." Visit their website for more details... |

KITTY NEEDS LIST

My name is Annita Hendriks, better known as The Cat Samaritan. I am a private individual that voluntarily started the journey of finding homes for the kitties of people emigrating, moving into complexes where animals are not permitted, abandoned in complexes, found on construction sites, depos & office parks, with financial problems, allergies, etc.
With the assistance of a network of people who feel the same as I do and friends, I have managed to re-home the kitties and make sure that they settle well into their new homes. I rely on a group of people who foster kitties for me when I am not able to foster them myself. The North riding Veterinary Clinic has made it possible for me to make sure that each cat and kitten I re-home has been vaccinated and sterilised if old enough, as well as treating the sick kitties before they are re-homed. I have been able to lean on them for major discounts and medical advice at any time of the day or night, as I do not charge people to whom the kitties are going and supply them with a starter kit of what the kitties are used to. I rely solely on donations. I have turned my house into a paradise for the kitties, so that they can recuperate if necessary and so I can socialise them with other kitties, as many go into homes that already have other pets. I try and make it a comfortable and loving home for them, even if it is just temporary. In most cases I deliver the kitties myself. The new owners are given a document that assists them with settling in the new addition, as well as an adoption form that they have to sign confirming that the kitty or kitties will be returned to me if necessary.
