Gharzos Ancient Egyptian Natural Honey Wax Recipe
|
Namaste is a supplier of Gharzo's Wax which you have to feel to believe. This wonderful mixture is made up by a mom and daughter team, right here in South Africa inspired by an Ancient Egyptian recipe, who've used it for many years in their salons and now the product is available to everyone. It really is miracle stuff. You use regular boiling water to melt it in the tub or you can use the microwave. Apply to your hair using anything spatula like in your home and pull using regular paper. Now you have a use for your scrap paper by keeping it for your wax days. Yes it is that good and practical. There is no sticky annoying clean up because it dissolves in water without any signs of residue. It is natural, but not vegan because it's got honey in it. You're going to LOVE the ease of this product and how it leaves your skin super smooth without clogging pores that lead to ingrown hairs.

Honey Wax
Our wax draws from the beauty rituals of ancient river civilisations, long ago, in the sun baked lands of the Nile where both women and men sought smooth, luminous skin as both practical and sacred. They discovered that the simplest gift of the land: sugar (natural sweetener) and honey warmed to a gentle amber could become a soft, yielding paste that cleansed, purified, and revealed the skin beneath. This was the beginning of what we now call sugaring. Honey itself is among Earth’s oldest gifts. A sweet nectar created by bees who pollinate the wildflowers of forest, meadow, and mountain. Across ancient cultures, honey was honoured as medicine, offering touch, scent, and sweetness to skin, spirit, and ritual.
With our wax, we honour that lineage: the desert sun, the river water, the bees’ quiet alchemy, the skin’s memory of softness, and the human desire for ritual beauty. Used to gently remove unwanted body hair in the direction of hair growth, with minimal discomfort, leaving skin smooth, soft, and slightly exfoliated. Minimises risk of ingrown hairs compared to harsher waxing methods. Allows easy clean-up with warm water (wax dissolves in water). Offers a deeply sensory, ritual style experience with it's sweet scent, warm touch, golden glow and ancient roots.
Use & Warning
Not for those with known bee product allergies. Do a 24 hour skin patch test first to see if you are sensitive to the product. Avoid contact with eyes, moles and wounds. Seek medical attention if you experience any discomfort. Use as often as you need to. Caution: honey is very hot after melting, so be careful testing you correct skin contact temperature. Best done when the weather is cooler as it needs to cool to have the grip hair. If your skin is too warm, the honey stays liquid and can't pull the hair. If too warm, you can use an ice pack on top of the paper for a few seconds to cool before pulling.
